PRODUCT & COMPATIBILITY

Does the DMP ONE work with my DAC?

The DMP ONE works with any USB Audio Class 2 compliant DAC — which is essentially every modern USB DAC. It supports up to PCM 384 kHz / 32 bit and native DSD512. We have verified compatibility with T+A, Topping, Octo, RME, and many others. If you are unsure about your specific DAC, contact us before ordering.

What software do I need to install?

You install DMP NEXUS — our control application that sets up the drivers automatically (WASAPI and ASIO on Windows, PipeWire sink on Linux). DMP NEXUS also handles initial setup and multiroom configuration. Optionally, you can install DMP NEXUS Player, our Audacious-based playback application that natively supports DSD512 for local files.

Can I use the DMP ONE without DMP NEXUS?

DMP NEXUS is required for the initial setup. Once configured, the DMP ONE works as a standard audio device that any application can use. You can also use it as an OpenHome / UPnP renderer with apps like Linn Kazoo, Lumin, or mconnect — without using our control application for daily playback.

Does the DMP ONE support macOS?

Not yet. We currently support Windows 10/11 and Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch tested). A native macOS driver is on our roadmap, but we have not yet committed to a release date. We will not ship a compromised macOS solution; we will release it when the engineering meets our standard.

SETUP & INSTALLATION

How long does setup take?

Most setups complete in 5–10 minutes. You install DMP NEXUS, follow the setup wizard, and the DMP ONE appears in your audio device list. Configuring multiroom or local music server features may take additional time, depending on your setup.

What power adapter should I use?

The DMP ONE requires 12V DC, 2A minimum, with a 5.5×2.1mm hollow plug, center positive. Any quality switching or linear power supply meeting these specs will work. We recommend brands like MeanWell, iFi, or Sbooster for audiophile-grade power.

What network setup do I need?

An Ethernet connection — the DMP ONE does not include Wi-Fi by design (for signal stability). A standard CAT6 or CAT7 cable to your router or network switch is sufficient. The DMP ONE requires DHCP for initial setup, with the option to configure static IP afterwards.

Can I move local music files to the DMP ONE's internal storage?

Yes. The DMP ONE includes an integrated UPnP music server. Through DMP NEXUS, you can upload files via your network or mount the device's storage as a network share. Supported formats include FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, DSF, DFF, MP3, AAC, and more.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide from Germany. Shipping costs and delivery times depend on the destination — see our shipping page for details. International orders may incur customs and import duties, which are the buyer's responsibility.

What's included in the box?

The DMP ONE in your configured finish and storage variant, plus a setup card with QR code linking to the product guide. We do not include a power adapter or cables — audiophiles typically prefer their own, and we avoid shipping accessories that may go unused. Recommended power supply specs are documented in the setup guide.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. You receive a shipping confirmation by email with a tracking number when your order leaves our facility. Tracking is provided through the carrier (DHL, UPS, or similar depending on destination).

RETURNS & SUPPORT

How do I get help if something doesn't work?

Email us through the contact form. We respond within 48 hours, typically faster. For hardware issues within the 5-year warranty, we handle RMA from Germany. As a small family team, your message reaches us directly — not a call center.

What if my DMP ONE is damaged in transit?

Contact us immediately. Document the damage with photos of the packaging and the unit. We will arrange replacement at our cost — transit damage is our responsibility, not yours.

Are firmware updates free?

Yes. All firmware updates are free for the lifetime of the product. We do not charge for software improvements, bug fixes, or new features. Updates are delivered through DMP NEXUS, with optional manual installation for users who prefer not to auto-update.

Will the DMP ONE be supported long-term?

Yes. We commit to a minimum of 7 years of software support, including security updates and compatibility fixes for new operating system releases. After that, we will continue support as long as it is technically feasible. We have no plans to obsolete the DMP ONE.
